PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYMENT
October 1997 To Present
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT and SENIOR COSULTING.
(Since the slow down and the hold on activating SubMicron Technology�s facility in
Thailand).
Working as contractor in senior consulting and programs/projects management for
Digital (DEC) and Hewlett Packard (HP). Most of the work has been done in Japan
and Taiwan.
Leading consulting, design and development teams for:
o IT/CIM/Automation proposals for new semiconductor fabs.
o Planning and design IT/CIM/Automation systems for new fabs.
o Leading the development startup of the designed projects
Projects included (partial list):
o MES: Promis, FACTORYworks
o Transport (Stockers, Interbay, intrabay): Daifuku
o Equipment management and interface: CELLworks, STATIONworks, FAbuilder, Asyst
o Business Systems interface: SAP
o Scheduling system interface: Paragon
o User Interface: Visual Basic
o Database: Oracle.
Main achievement: Deliver in relatively short time a high quality completion of major
projects stages (proposals, Design, Development).

November 1996 to Present
MANAGER, DEPARTMENT OF MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING INFORMATION & CONTROL SYSTEMS,
SUBMICRON TECHNOLOY, THAILAND.
Member of FAB startup team.
Responsibility for all MANUFACTURING and ENGINEERING INFORMATION and CONTROL
systems.
Planning, Strategy, Solution Evaluation, expatriate and local staffs Recruiting,
Budgeting, signed Contracts for projects and systems for a new semiconductor
FAB.
Main systems include:
o ASYST's SMIF H-W, controllers and S-W,
o FUJI-RIC equipment NT servers,
o WorkStream DFS as MES,
o DOCUMENTUM for document management and control,
o AutoSImulations' AutoSched, RTD, ISS for Modeling, Scheduling, Dispatching and
Reporting,
o KNIGHTS as engineering analysis DB and application.
The startup project includes integration of all these systems and with the ERP
system (SAP)

o Comm., Distribution: DCOM, CORBA, ISIS,
o Equipment connectivity: SECS, GEM over RS232 and TCP/IP (HSMS)

o Operating Systems: NT, Win95, UNIX (HP, SUN)
o OBJECT, INTRANRT and CLIENT/SERVER technologies.
o Local and contracted staff for these projects is over 60 people.
Main achievement: Planing developing and implementing systems to support
manufacturing and engineering for new 0.35u, 200mm Fab.

November 1994 to October, 1996
MANAGER, DEPARTMENT OF AUTOMATION & SHOP FLOOR CONTROL, TOWER SEMICONDUCTOR, ISRAEL.
Responsibility for MES and Automation systems.
Managed group of 15 software engineers and analysts.
Conducted multi million dollar comprehensive FAB automation project including
TECHNICAL, ADMINISTRATIVE and FINANCIAL aspects.
The project included (partial list):
o Physical equipment interfaces: SECS, GEM over RS232
o Complex communications: DMQ, DMBX over TCP/IP
o Distributed applications: MESSAGE BUS and RPC
o Databases: SYBASE, DBMS
o CLIENT/SERVER technology (GUI, APPLICATION and DB servers).
o Operating systems: MS Windows, UNIX (SUN, DEC) , VMS
o Development: COBOL, C, C++, Visual Basic, Power Builder, JAM, SQR, Graphec
o Integration of MES (WORKSTREAM) and FASTECH environment with other legacy
systems.
Main achievement: Upgraded old FAB concept from manual human control to AUTOMATED
one.

February, 1993 to October, 1994
SENIOR PROJECTS MANAGER, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT,
TOWER SEMICONDUCTOR, ISRAEL.
Led various projects in the arenas of
o SHOP FLOOR CONTROL (ex: Mask Management System)
o LOGISTICS with PLANNING (Order Control System)
o FINANCIAL (Standard Cost)
o ENGINEERING (ex: Engineering DataBase).
Worked personally on SYSTEM ANALYSIS, TOP LEVEL AND DETAILED
DESIGN including DATABASES DESIGN. Used internal and contracting resources
for development.

August, 1988 to January, 1993
ADMINISTRATOR AND APPLICATION ENGINEER OF MANUFACTURING EXECUTION SYSTEM,
CIM DEPARTMENT,
NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR.
Responsible for DEPLOYMENT, applications DEVELOPMENT and MAINTENANCE of
MES (WORKSTREAM).

Mainly consulting to National SemiConductor. Various IT projects in arenas of Shop
Floor Control, Engineering, Testing, QA.
